Un Air d'Apogee

Un Air d'Apogee

Forever a staff favorite, Un Air d'Apogée by modern-meets-classic French brand, Maison Violet, is a sophisticated tribute to the legendary glove-makers of Grasse. Ephemeral leather drifts on a cloud of honied tobacco and iris. We can't say enough about perfumer Nathalie Lorson's debonair composition, which somehow achieves a perfect balance between darkness and light, weightlessness and projection.

From Maison Violet
Formerly known as Apogée, the perfume originally appeared in 1932 under the direction of Marc-Aaron Rehns. Apogée was one of the last signature perfumes of Parfumerie Violet before it stopped operating in the mid 1950's. Its most famous form of bottle was that of an Inkwell with a bakelite stopper. The various advertisements at the time featured peacock feathers.
